The fabric is a "plaited" knit with the cotton fibers on the inside of the shirt for maximum comfort while the polyester is the outer layer pulling moisture from the skin allowing it to "wick away". The non-restrictive segmented reflective tape allows for superior breath-ability and flexibility.
